Team Lunar M8 pt 2 'Perfect Plan'

Ari jumped down onto the ground once the Drifblim neared the floor of the boneyard. She was glad to be on the ground again and relished the earth beneath her paws. Her arms were stiff and tired from holding onto the Drifblim’s tentacle thing for too long. She took a moment to regain her strength, but then had to set off again when Chill ordered them to follow him and Chex.

“This way! Come on!” Chill shouted as he ran after Chex. The small group of rescuers followed him, Ari trailing behind. She was careful not to step on any jagged, sharp material sticking out of the ground. However, when she got over a small hill, she didn’t see something and tripped over it, landing face first into the dirt.

Spitting sand out of her mouth, she got up on her knees, rubbing her one leg where there was now a bruise. She then looked behind her and spotted the thing she had tripped over. It was some kind of shard. It was a pretty jade green with an outer rim of bright pink. It gleamed in the brilliant sunlight. Ari went over to it and tried to take it from the ground, but it was more stuck than she thought. What is this thing? She asked herself as she gave it another tug. Finally it came loose and Ari tumbled backwards as she pulled out the shard along with the bone that it was attached to. What…? She wondered what it could possibly be. It didn’t look like an ordinary bone. Instead it looked more like a staff of some sort.

“Hey Riolu chick! We need to keep moving!” She heard Chill’s frantic call ahead of her. She decided to take the bone staff along with her and figure out what it was later. Right now she needed to help save Gunpowder. Getting to her feet, she gripped the staff in her hand and then ran towards the group, ignoring the dirt that was all over her from her fall. When she caught up with them, Chill was explaining about what to do. They were now nearby the entrance of a cave.

“It is of absolute importance that no one tries to fight this thing! Is that clear?” Chill said, looking at the several Pokemon that were with him. “This thing is a bad dude and is pretty strong. He’s like a bad Devonshire or something. Anyway, time to get on with tactics!” The Minccino then looked at Ari, pointing a finger at her. “You! Riolu girl! Chex told me that you have something that could help us?”

“Uh, yah.” Ari said, a bit startled at first by his direct conversation. She reached into the neck part of her scarf and grabbed the right orb, holding it out to show him. “He said that this thing was special.” Chill looked doubtful, looking at Chex. The Cubone wrote something down on his sign and then showed it to Chill. The Minccino’s expression immediately brightened.

“Great! That item will work perfectly as a distraction!” Chill exclaimed, an upbeat smile forming on his face. “Alright guys, listen up! Here’s the plan.” Chill explained to everyone the plan on how to save Gunpowder and get him out of the cave. All of them would sneak in, except for two who would stay outside as lookout, and then they would try and locate Gunpowder. Once they find him, all of them were to close their eyes, as Ari would use her orb to create a blinding flash to distract the creature that held Gunpowder captive. It was a perfect plan. Just hopefully nothing would go wrong.
